Goal
On November 18th I will be fighting in Hammerstein Ballroom to help raise money to KNOCKOUT cancer.
On June 19, 2015, the world lost Joseph Quaderer to a rare type of blood cancer. Joseph Quaderer was my wife's father, track coach and, most importantly, her undisputed heavyweight champ and hero in life. I am not sure what was worse, watching the ravenous effects of cancer on my father-in-law or the devastating effect it had on my wife and her family. Watching a loved one deal with cancer gives a new definition to powerlessness. Sometimes hardships in life are just that and the only thing that can be taken away as a lesson is how that experience can be used to help others. I am literally fighting to raise money so those who can dedicate their lives to finding a cure can do so.
I train 4 to 5 days a week out of the New York Athletic Club and wake up at 4:30 in the morning so I can fit it into my schedule. I dropped close to 40 pounds and have experienced getting hit in the face more times than I can count. I have loved every minute of it. More importantly, I have the physical ability to do it and am grateful everyday for that. For those of you in my life who are fighting cancer (you know who you are) I am fighting for you too.
