Before I tell you about me I want to tell you about the reason I'm here. My mother, Cindy Powers, was an amazingly strong independent woman, mother and friend who brought joy and a little bit of attitude to anyone who came into contact with her. She single handedly raised a son and daughter who loved her more than words can express. She also was one hell of a cook and Sunday dinners were my favorite with her. My mother passed away on October 29th 2024 after a long and vigorous battle with both breast cancer and later on colon cancer. The last couple of months of her life we fought side by side to try and battle every last situation this disease threw at us. My mother knew I had applied for a spot in the event and was very excited for me however by the time I was selected she had become unresponsive.

I am here to continue that battle for her and to #KOCANCER for others.

Who am I you ask?

I'm a born and raised New Yorker who made my way through Memphis TN, and recently taking on a new venture in Fort Lauderdale FL. I am incredibly blessed for this opportunity and I know my mother will be in my corner every step of the way.
