Goal
Training for a few months to fight is nothing compared to what my mom, a number of my best friend’s moms, and countless others with cancer endure on a daily basis. Cancer is hell. Anyone who has experienced it themselves or knows someone who has understands that it’s not just a mental and physical battle but it’s a financial one. My mother pushed through each diagnosis, and there have been many, working to ensure she could afford her treatments out of pocket when they weren’t covered by insurance, because without them, she wouldn't be here.
This is why I’m fighting on November 14th. The majority of individuals fighting for their lives must choose between life-saving treatments, putting food on the table, keeping their lights on, etc. is a fundamental problem. The only thing anyone who is fighting this horrific disease should be doing is spending time with the ones they love - not worrying about how to pay for their treatments or if there will be a new breakthrough in research to save them.
I am extremely proud to be a part of this organization and to raise money in hopes that one day there will be a cure for all forms of cancer. I appreciate any amount of money donated to this cause and look forward to seeing us beat this battle.
