Goal
Haymakers for Hope’s mission is to knockout cancer the only way we know how, by literally fighting for a cure.
This November, I’m stepping into the ring to do my part in our common fight against cancer, an overpowering and unpredictable opponent
I won’t be the one to engineer a therapy that helps end the pain caused by this disease, but I’m all too excited to throw a few punches in support of the efforts of those who might
Like most of you, cancer has run its course through my family. I’m fighting in honor of my grandmothers, Nancy and Joanne -- exceptional women who lost their lives forty years apart to lung cancer and melanoma, respectively. I’m also fighting in celebration of my mother, Marcie, who received an early diagnosis and successful treatment of melanoma in 2019
Finally, my participation in Haymakers for Hope is on behalf of all those currently battling cancer, including Don Kleber, a dear friend of my family and a 9/11 first responder. The next four months of training will be grueling, but the challenges I face will pale in comparison to the fights held every day in chemotherapy clinics and doctors' offices around the world
Research breakthroughs are being made every day -- we have never been closer to taking control in the bout against cancer. Please consider fighting alongside me and donating to help bring us closer to a cure
