From an early age cancer has affected my life. I never really got to know my grandpa who was a bomber pilot and subsequent POW in WWII due to colon cancer. I would’ve liked to. 

 

Cancer touches everyone at some point in their lives and rarely is that interaction met with a happy ending. Whether it’s a grandparent, parent, child, mother or father the effect it will leave on a family is devastating. 

 

While I am not a scientist or someone who can battle this terrible disease on the front line I am willing to step up to try make a difference. I am to the joy of plenty, and possibly concern is some, prepared to step into a ring and get punched in the nose (hopefully not often) so that maybe one day, we look at cancer as something that once plagued us but is in the past. I’m proud to be able to make a small impact in that fight.
