I'm fighting in support of those that are struggling in their fight against cancer to let them know that they are not alone. All of us competing in this year's event have been affected by cancer in different ways and are hoping our fundraising efforts will help raise awareness of the importance of cancer research and make a direct impact on finding a cure.

I've found my inspiration from my friend Ben Sherry, who lost his mom to breast cancer two years ago. The Sherry family faced their fight head on with dignity and resilience, the same way I hope to face mine. While I'm fighting to help find a cure for future cancer survivors, I'm also fighting in honor of those that are no longer with us and their families and for those that still have a fight in front of them.  

Whether it be through training, donating or both, we can all make a difference.
