My father courageously battled Pancreatic Cancer 4 years ago. The fight was not an easy one, and he dealt with many complications along the way. For him, giving up just wasn’t an option. No matter what came his way he somehow managed to build up the strength to get not only himself but our family through it. The day to day struggle that came with this horrible disease was almost unbearable to watch. My father has always been my rock. His favorite line was “everything is going to be okay, you hear me?” and it always was because he made sure of it. He’s not only the smartest but the strongest man I’ll ever know. He’s now in remission and against all odds he’s won. He still has a long road to full recovery with many struggles and some days are tougher than others. That’s not going to stop him, he’ll never give up the fight. Now it’s my turn to fight, for my Dad and everyone else who’s gone through the same battle.
