I don't know a family who has not known some form of pain from watching a loved one suffer from the horrible disease we know as cancer. The advances in research have given a whole new impetus to managing and I hope curing this disease. Haymakers is giving me the opportunity to fight back against this terrible disease by training for, and competing in a charity boxing event in Boston this May 19th to raise money and awareness. To prepare for the event, Haymakers for Hope combines the efforts of the first time amateur boxing participants, like myself, with local boxing gyms and volunteers. Together we hope to help give life saving researchers the resources needed to fully focus their efforts on finding a cure. My ask of everyone reading this is to consider some form of donation be it time, blood, platelets and yes a few dollars.
