It is a great honor to be accepted to this charity to fight cancer. I have yet to meet someone whose cancer has not impacted their lives. The pain it brings watching those suffering is unbearable. It changes lives forever. The physical changes that happen to those going under chemotherapy endure the devastation of complete hair loss. The Haymakers for Hope and I partner with Hair We Share, which provides free, attractive, and appropriate wigs to cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. It is shown that we feel good about ourselves, and it gives a more positive outlook while going through the adverse effects of chemo-treatment in fighting cancer. Hair We Share has a mission to offer those suffering from chemotherapy adverse effects by having patients receive a suitable wig for those who otherwise cannot afford them.
I want to fight for the ones that lost their fight to cancer. Rest in Peace, my late grandfather, Joe Pergola; late grandmother, Belle Simon; my late Father-In-Law, Paul Joyce; and all the others who lost their battle.
I will fight for those who continue to be impacted by cancer.
