Don't count the days. Make the days count. -Muhammad Ali
I'm fighting for those that can't.
Unfortunately most of us can say that we've had a friend or family member that has been affected by this terrible disease and they are quickly stripped of being able to do the things they love. I never take for granted that I have the ability to move my body every day and partake in activities that bring me joy, something that so many people with cancer do not have the luxury of doing.
I'm fighting for my grandparents. I'm fighting for my family. I'm fighting for my friends. All of which have been affected by various types of cancer and whose time was cut short from this disease. I'm hoping that someday soon there are less people in this world who have to grow up without grandparents, parents, siblings, and dear friends. No one should have to say goodbye to their loved ones before they've had the opportunity to live out a lifetime filled with happiness and success.
Haymakers for Hope has built such a strong community for people to come together to build awareness, and truly make an impact. We've proven as a society that there is strength in numbers, so I'm honored I can take a stand and help lead this fight to encourage others to provide additional resources to those fighting for their lives everyday and life saving researchers who are trying to find a cure.
I'll be training over the next few months to fight back against this terrible disease, and competing in a charity boxing event to raise money and awareness. Please consider donating if you want to give back and KO cancer!!!
