It was May 1994, two months after my first child was born, I remember receiving the phone call from my Dad..."Honey I'm dying...the cancer has spread", that is all I heard.  At that moment I knew my life would never be the same.  For the next several months our family did everything we could to help in my Dad's fight against cancer, unfortunately it wasn't enough, four short months later, August 27, 1994, my Dad passed away, surrounded by his loved ones...he was only 52.
