"You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward." ~ Rocky Balboa
Why I fight?
I'm fighting in memory of those I've lost to cancer. My Grandma Harris, known to her grandchildren as "Ging," who always encouraged us to get off the couch and do "three active things a day." That was her key to the good life. So training, and fighting, is my way of getting active to honor Ging's legacy. And my Grandma Scott, who would've been worried sick about me entering a boxing ring. But she would've been my best caretaker post-match.
I'm fighting for my numerous friends and family members who have been touched - both directly and indirectly - by cancer.
I'm fighting for those I've never met who've been affected by this terrible disease.
Finally, I'm fighting in the hope that, some day soon, we can knock cancer to the mat for good.
